Tyra Buie, owner and operator of Southern Sensations Catering.
My passion as a caterer comes from a long obsession with creating different dishes in the kitchen. From a very young age I have always tried to make people happy with delicious soul food. I find that working with different spices and vegetables is a way for me to stay connected with my ancestors who all knew their way around the kitchen very well. The simple act of creating southern dishes that lead to smiling faces brings me endless satisfaction.

I was born into a strong southern cultured family from South Carolina so cooking became a natural habit for me. By the young age of 14 I had not only learned my way around the kitchen, picking up on recipes from my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, I had also developed a love for the craft. After years of cooking for family and friend functions, I at the age of only 30 started my own catering company.

Southern Sensations Catering Born November 2016 specializes in the most flavorful southern cuisine around, spreading the culture of soul food from state to state. With a variety of signature dishes from homemade macaroni and cheese, southern red rice, smoked collard greens, tender turkey wings, and much more it wasn’t long before the brand became a household name catering for special events such as weddings, reunions, birthday parties, job functions and more across the low country. Southern Taking pride in customer satisfaction and great quality food and service Southern Sensations has added a mobile unit (FOODIEZZ) and now expanded from SC to GA with hopes of adding many more states very soon. Southern Sensations is a full flavor experience we want you to have rather it be from us catering for you, you use one of our recipe videos in your own home, or you visit our location for the experience either way its an experience we want everyone to have!!
